About the OWA
In 1926, former students set up the Old Westcliffian Association (OWA) to enable them to keep in touch with both the continuing development of the School and each other. The Association continues to fulfil these functions.
The Old Westcliffian Association provides a means by which our former students can maintain a connection with the School and with each other, in the UK and around the world. The Association, now operating under the umbrella for the School, works closely with the Headmaster and Governors to help ensure pupils can access the very best of provision whilst attending Westcliff High School for Boys.
Old Westcliffians discharge these responsibilities through the contributions they make to support the pupils at WHSB, through their time, the opportunities they provide, and financial donations.
The electronic Newsletter supports Old Westcliffians to keep in touch and reconnect through our networks, as well as keeping them informed of developments at the School, of the achievements of former students, and of other matters of interest. The annual OWA Dinner, held in the School Hall, offers the opportunity for former students to meet up with friends old and new, and to catch up on their news while reconnecting.
Our Association is always seeking new ways in which it can support former and current students WHSB. In addition to providing a link between former students who have lost touch with the School, the Association can also support by providing a network through which former students may gain advice from fellow alumni working in their chosen field. The Headmaster may also utilise this network from time to time when this may be useful in connection with careers advice for a current pupil.
OWA membership is open to all former pupils of Westcliff High School for Boys.
